A Simple To Make Better Than Cocoa Chocolate Powder

Text: Angie's Chocolate Powder and a spoonful of powder

Why I Love This Cocoa Chocolate Powder

Most notably my better-than-cocoa chocolate powder contains ingredients that are healthful, and minimally processed. Even with no added sugars, this powder will satisfy your sweet tooth. Use this nutrient-packed powder in your next recipe!

Today I will cover the ingredients that go into the powder and you will learn why this is better than the store-bought cocoa powder.

What Does Better Than Cocoa Chocolate Powder Contain?

  • Black Cocoa Powder - intensely dark without the bitterness typical cocoa has along with a wonderful chocolate flavor!

  • Chia Seeds - adds antioxidants & fiber. Also creates a boba-like effect when made as hot chocolate.

  • Coconut Flakes - helps aid in digestion and heart health.

  • Cocoa Nibs - adds fiber, minerals & antioxidants along with a delicious chocolate crunch. Cocoa nibs will not melt and will add a crunch to your baked goods as well as hot cocoa.

  • Lucuma Powder - naturally adds sweetness to your chocolate powder. Has a maple sugar flavor, and doesn't taste artificial like some sugar substitutes.

What To Make Using A Better Than Cocoa Chocolate Powder

My favorite way to use my chocolate powder is in hot cocoa. I add about 1-2 tablespoons of powder to 8 ounces of water. If I'm looking for more indulgence, I will either use milk, add a little milk, or make foam. To add to the hot cocoa, I will top using my chocolate sauce. Note that the cocoa will have chunks of chia seed and nibs in it, so it's best to stir as you drink. If you don't like the chunks, you can try using a french press.

The chocolate sauce on my blog can also be made using my cocoa powder rather than the Your Super powder I used. Both will create a wonderful chocolate sauce you will want to put on everything.

Cocoa and sauce not your thing? Substitute regular cocoa powder for this chocolate powder in your baking dishes. Although this contains chia seeds, I don't believe it's enough to need to adjust liquids in your recipes.

While you wait for my next recipe to post, take a look at my series category. My series posts are where I take 1 topic and cover it for a few weeks. For example, I covered my favorite 7 edible flowers, all of which would look pretty topped on your cocoa!
