Find Value In Your Recycling By Upcycling Boxes

Text: easy garden gifts: upcycling boxes

Why I Love Upcycling Boxes

If you've followed my blog for a while, you'll know that I try to be a less wasteful home, included in that is upcycling boxes!

When I receive a box in the mail, I'll decide based on the time of year and what events are coming up if I will save or recycle the box and material. I receive boxes with packing material (air bubbles) or crinkle paper, and sometimes brown paper as fillers. Those are all great materials to save for upcycling boxes.

Read my post today to learn all about upcycling.

First, you will want to gather some materials:

What Is Upcycling Anyways?

Upcycling is how you reuse materials to create a new item that is worth more than the original item. To put it simply, wrapping a box you received in the mail in wrapping paper to give as a gift is upcycling! The best part about upcycling boxes is how easy it is to do!

To upcycle a box, you only need a few materials. Wrapping paper, tape, filler material, and of course a box. Once you have your materials, you can start wrapping the box. I find it easier to trim the paper as I go to make the box look as good as possible! Of course, the wrapping doesn't need to be perfect, do your best!
