Make A Better Mocktail With Superfoods

Angie announces a make a Better Mocktail series featuring superfoods

Announcing My Next Series - Mocktails With Superfoods!

When I wanted a better mocktail, I found a great book called Good Drinks: Alcohol-Free Recipes for When You're Not Drinking For Whatever Reason. After opening the book and reading through it, I found a few recipes that sounded tasty.

What To Expect From the Make A Better Mocktail Series

In this 4 part series, I will share my recipes for mocktails over the next 4 weeks.

As I flipped through the book, I found many recipes required things that I didn't have on hand, or were very involved. Things like a shaker or having to make a lot of syrup only to make 1 drink (some syrups made enough for 12 drinks).

I wanted to add in some yummy superfoods from Your Super. In addition to that, I had a few other things I wanted:

  • Fewer dishes - I wanted to be able to make a drink in my Ninja Blender cup; no shaker, no fancy equipment, etc.

  • Easy - using a blender, I wanted this to be as close to "just dump in the ingredients" as possible

  • Refreshing - the mocktail has to make it feel like I'm not missing out

  • Superfoods - adding in superfoods was a must -I can't think of a better way to enjoy additional nutrients than in a tasty drink!

  • As natural as possible - using maple syrup or honey to sweeten the mocktails as well as whole fresh fruit instead of juicing

What Do You Need To Make A Better Mocktail?

To prep for my series, you will want to have a few basic ingredients on hand:

  • Orange

  • Lime

  • Lemon

  • Avocado

  • Mango

  • Honey

  • Maple Syrup

  • Canned coconut milk

  • Ginger beer

  • Cherry juice

  • Plain sparkling water

  • Strainer - optional, I'm used to having pulp from fresh fruit in my drinks, but you may not like it, have a strainer on hand in case you don't like the pulp

  • Plant Collagen

  • Golden Mellow

  • Skinny Protein

You will not need much of any ingredient, 1 piece of fruit each and the smallest size of everything else you can find should be enough.

I can't wait to share my superfood mocktails with you! While you wait for the recipes, read my other drink recipes.
