Why I Love Mango Sorbet

My number one reason for loving mango sorbet is that it is filling and Your Super detox-friendly! While I enjoy vanilla bites during the detox, sometimes I crave something different - and this sorbet hits the spot! Sometimes I'll even crumble some of my vanilla bites over the top of my sorbet.

The 2nd reason I love this recipe is that it is a no-churn sorbet - with just 2-3 ingredients and a blender bowl, you can make delicious smooth sorbet.

No Ice Cream Maker? No Problem!

To make my mango sorbet, you don't need to run out and buy an ice cream maker. You can use your blender. I will highly recommend getting the Ninja Blender Bowl, or whatever is similar that will fit your blender. The blender bowl has built-in "scrapers" that you can twist to clean off the sides of your container as you blend. Another reason I love the bowl is that it's easy to get all my sorbet out, and even easier to clean!

If you don't have a blender bowl, you can use a high-speed blender and get the same results. Note that a blender may be more difficult to get the sorbet out of vs using the blender bowl.

I would not recommend using a food processor to make this, I find most food processors are not powerful enough to handle frozen fruit. I've burned a few food processors and prefer to steer clear of those for this recipe.

How To Clean The Blender Bowl After Making Mango Sorbet

When it comes time to clean the blender bowl, I prefer to first add a little water to the bowl, and run it on the Ninja, I end up with mango water. I add a little ice for a refreshing beverage! Then, I'll add a drop of soap to the blender bowl, along with water, and run it on the Ninja. This gets the blender bowl pretty clean - I'm sure to move the "arms" as I clean it to get as much as I can out of it. If the bowl is still dirty, I'll clean it with my normal dishes.

My final cleaning tip would be to clean it right away, or at least run the water cycle right away. I find if I allow the blender bowl to sit, the mixture becomes harder to clean off using the "lazy" cleaning method described above.

How will you enjoy your mango sorbet?
